Evaluation Q2 - How does your media product represent particular social groups?

Our mise en scene is similar as they both portray a smart, business look to them. However with a casual element as our character has a rather used looking satchel instead of a briefcase which makes his appearance less official.
We confronted to stereotypes as it was the easiest way for the audience to identify with the character without having to explain it verbally to them. This subtle hint allowed the audience to make their own mind up about what stereotypical character Gordon is. We tried to make the actor be as realistic looking to our ideal image of Gordon as possible by the mise en scene but also his walk. Whilst filming the scene from the car to the building we wanted Gordon to have a certain type of attitude to his walk, to suggest a quirky and more confident Gordon compared to the younger Gordon.
