20th Century Fox
Fox Films were founded in May 31, 1915 and 20th Century Pictures, Inc founded in 1933. The two companies then merged to become 20th Century Fox in May 31, 1935. The current owner is Rupert Murdoch.
The Majority of films produced by 20th Century Fox are family and comedy genres, as they are the most profitable, as there is a large audience.

Warner Bros
The founders are the four Warner Brothers who emigrated with their parents from Poland to North America. Warner Bros Studios was first founded in 1918 and become Warner Bros.Pictures in 1923.
Warner Bros produce, distribute, lience and market films, television programmes and music. They produce and distribute films in a variety of genres such as Comedy, Romance, Action and Horror.
Examples of Successful Films: The Dark Knight, The Hangover, Sex and the City, Harry Potter
Universal Pictures
Universal Pictures was founded in 1912 by Carl Laemmle. It is the 3rd oldest movie studios in the world with its 100th anniversary being celebrated this year.
Universal prefer to focus on films with genres in Romance, Adventure and Drama. They focus on these genres as they are comfortable with its production.
Examples of Successful Films: Meet the Fockers, Wanted, Love Actually, Bourne, Bring It On
Lionsgate
Lionsgate was founded in 1997 by Frank Giustra. Lionsgate is a successful independent motion picture and television distribution company in the North America. It is the 6th most profitable movie studio.
Lionsgate prefer to produce films in Drama, Action and Thriller.
Examples of Successful Films: American Physco, Crank, Abduction, Dirty Dancing, The Hunger Games.
